Diem provides a social search engine to exchange information with communities (collectively, including the Site and any related mobile applications, the “Service”).
This Privacy Policy explains what Personal Data (defined below) we collect via the Service, how we use and share that data, and your choices concerning our data practices.
Before using the Service or submitting any Personal Data to Diem, please review this Privacy Policy carefully and contact us if you have any questions. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to this Privacy Policy, you may not access the Site or otherwise use the Service.
1. PERSONAL DATA WE COLLECT
We collect information that alone or in combination with other information in our possession could be used to identify you (“Personal Data”) as follows:
Personal Data You Provide: We collect Personal Data when you register to use the Service and in connection with your use of the Service. The Personal Data collected during these interactions may vary based on what you choose to share with us, but it will generally include your name, preferred pronoun, email address, phone number, and state and country where you are located. If you choose to use Apple Sign In, we will collect your Apple ID.
Personal Data We Collect Through Our Social Media Pages: We have pages on social media sites like Instagram Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn (“Social Media Pages”). When you interact with our Social Media Pages, we will collect Personal Data that you elect to provide to us, such as your contact details. In addition, the companies that host our Social Media Pages may provide us with aggregate information and analytics regarding the use of our Social Media Pages.
Personal Data We Receive Automatically From Your Use of the Service: When you visit, use and interact with the Service, we may receive certain information about your visit, use or interactions. For example, some of our sessions are recorded so that they can be viewed by other members later; if comment or ask a question during one of those sessions, whatever you say will be in the recording. If you do not want to be recorded, you may choose not to participate. Additionally, we may monitor the number of people that visit the Service, peak hours of visits, which page(s) are visited, the domains our visitors come from (e.g., google.com, yahoo.com, etc.), and which browsers people use to access the Service (e.g., Google Chrome, Safari, Microsoft Edge, etc.), and broad geographical information. If you unsubscribe from our marketing lists you will no longer receive marketing communications, but we will continue to contact you regarding management of your account, other administrative matters, and to respond to your requests.
3. SHARING AND DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL DATA

We keep Personal Data for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, while we have a business need to do so, or as required by law (e.g. for tax, legal, accounting or other purposes), whichever is longer.

Please log in to your account or contact us if you need to change or correct your Personal Data.
6. CHILDREN
Our Service is not directed to children who are under the age of 18. Diem does not knowingly collect Personal Data from children under the age of 18. If you have reason to believe that a child under the age of 18 has provided Personal Data to Diem through the Service please contact us and we will endeavor to delete that information from our databases.
7. LINKS TO OTHER WEBSITES
The Site may contain links to other websites not operated or controlled by Diem, including social media services (“Third Party Sites”). The information that you share with Third Party Sites will be governed by the specific privacy policies and terms of service of the Third Party Sites and not by this Privacy Policy. By providing these links we do not imply that we endorse or have reviewed these sites. Please contact the Third Party Sites directly for information on their privacy practices and policies.
8. SECURITY
You use the Service at your own risk. We implement commercially reasonable technical, administrative, and organizational measures to protect Personal Data both online and offline from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration or destruction. However, no Internet or e-mail transmission is ever fully secure or error free. In particular, e-mail sent to or from us may not be secure. Therefore, you should take special care in deciding what information you send to us via the Service or e-mail. Please keep this in mind when disclosing any Personal Data to Diem via the Internet. In addition, we are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures contained on the Service, or third party websites.
9. YOUR CHOICES
In certain circumstances providing Personal Data is optional. However, if you choose not to provide Personal Data that is needed to use some features of our Services, you may be unable to use those features. You can also contact us to ask us to update or correct your Personal Data.
10. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS
All information processed by us may be transferred, processed, and stored anywhere in the world, including but not limited to, the United States and other countries. If you are accessing our Service from the United Kingdom, European Economic Area (“EEA”), or other regions with laws governing data collection and use, please note that your Personal Data will be transferred to and stored in the United States as necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, and Personal Data may be transmitted to our service providers supporting our business operations (described above). The United States may have data protection laws less stringent than or otherwise different from the laws in effect in the country in which you are located.
10. YOUR RIGHTS UNDER CCPA
If you are a resident of California, you have specific rights regarding your Personal Data under the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”). This section describes your rights and how to exercise them.

Right to opt out of sale of Personal Data. Diem does not sell Personal Data as defined by the CCPA. However, if this practice changes in the future, we will provide a clear mechanism for you to opt out of the sale of your Personal Data.

Right to Non-Discrimination. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights. Specifically, we will not deny you access to our services, charge different prices, or provide a different level or quality of services for exercising your rights under the CCPA.

To process your request, we will need the following information to verify your identity: (i) full name; (ii) email address associated with your account; and (iii) any additional information that may help us locate your Personal Data (e.g., user ID, date of last interaction with our Service)
Once we receive your request, we will begin the verification process. If you have a password-protected account with us, we may verify your identity by confirming details from your account. If you do not have an account, we may ask for additional verification information, such as a government-issued ID or details about recent interactions with our Service. This verification process is necessary to protect your privacy and prevent the unauthorized disclosure of your Personal Data.
We will acknowledge receipt of your request within 10 business days and provide a response within 45 calendar days. If we require additional time (up to 90 calendar days total), we will notify you of the extension and the reason for the delay.
Upon successful verification, we will provide you with the categories of Personal Data we have collected about you, the categories of sources from which the Personal Data was collected, the purposes for collecting the Personal Data, the categories of third parties with whom we shared the Personal Data, and specific pieces of Personal Data we have collected about you, if requested.
Please note that we may decline to provide certain information where disclosure poses a significant risk to the security or privacy of the data, or where disclosure would conflict with legal obligations. If we deny your request, we will provide you with an explanation.
11. INTERNATIONAL PRIVACY RIGHTS

We use commercially reasonable efforts to delete your Personal Data as required but may retain records necessary to comply with a governmental authority or applicable federal, state, or local law. Where legally permitted, we may decline to process requests, including requests that are unreasonably repetitive or systematic, require disproportionate technical effort, or jeopardize the privacy of others.
